Can you collect unemployment if your company goes out of business while your on maternity leave? (in new york)

My wife is scheduled to have her baby in august, but her company is closing its doors presumably at the end of august. We're not sure if she can get unemployment if she is on disability when her company closes. If her company closes its doors before she goes out on maternity leave, can she collect unemployment instead of disability? We live in New York State. Appreciate any input.
