How do I get rid of tarter on my gumline?

I tried brushing them but doesn't go away and I have braces which makes it worse I got my teeth cleaned a few months ago and got rid of them but it comes back. I brush my teeth at least twice a day I try to floss but it's hard to cuz of the wire. How can I get rid of it without goig to the dentist. My family is low on money cuz of this economy and I don't want to ask to go cuz so much money is used cuz of braces for me and my bro and my root c AND fillings. Me and my bro have to go to the dentist a lot cuz we haven't gone in a long time. Anyways HOW CAN I GET RID OF it
