A bat just flew in through my fireplace!!! help?

okay so a bat just flew in our fireplace. its not in the house though we have the doors shut so thats good. but what can we do to get it out? we dont want it in our house because we have pets and such. is there any way we could like catch it in a container and let it go outside? ideas would be apppreciated. thanks in advance!
