Creative writing tips?

I've been aspired to become a creative writer and want to learn how to write scripts for TV shows. I'm taking a intermediate writing cl for the first semester at college, and then a communication major [presumably tv/film script writing]. Will the intermediate writing cl help me, as a creative writer?
